If you’re anything like me you will have a million and one different things in your handbag. Whether it’s receipts from 6 months ago, a key for a mysterious door or pamphlets you were handed in the street – your bag is probably clogged up with lots of junk, right?
Whilst most stuff in your bag may be important to you, clearing it out and keeping the essentials will make you feel so much more organised, and make your bag much easier to carry.
But what are the essentials?
Luckily, I’ve put together a list of 8 things every woman should have in their handbag:
A Wallet Or Purse
I feel like this one was a little obvious, but I thought I would include it just in case. Keeping your purse or wallet on you at all times is important, especially as you don’t know when you’re going to need it. It contains your ID, your bank cards and anything else you consider important – so keeping it in your bag at all times reduces the risk of it getting lost.
If you’re a busy woman on the go then having your planner with you is a great way to make appointments as you go along. If someone asks what you’re up to on a particular day you can whip out your diary and pencil them in straight away!
Every woman should carry around perfume in their bag, as a great way to top up your gorgeous scent as you’re out and about. If you don’t want to carry around a full-size perfume every day you can purchase wholesale atomizers and put small amounts of your favourite perfumes into a little hand-held spray bottle.
A Backup Makeup Kit
Every single girl needs a mini backup makeup kit in their bag! You never know what could happen when you’re out and about so having a few essentials in your bag will mean you can top up whenever you need to. They don’t need to be as expensive as your normal makeup, just something that matches the shade you would usually wear.
Keeping a few hair essentials in your bag is great for those unpredictable moments. Whether you need a hairband, a hairbrush, hair grips or some emergency hairspray – you should have everything you need in your handbag!
A Mini First Aid Kit
Whilst this is necessarily important, it’s incredibly helpful! These small kits include the smaller essentials that you may need if you were to give yourself a minor injury while out and about. If you like to be prepared, keeping a mini first aid kit in your bag can’t hurt.
A Backup Phone Charger
Phones run out of battery at the most inconvenient of times, so keeping a backup phone charger is a great way to avoid those pain steaking moments without your phone.
Mints Or Chewing Gum
This one kind of speaks for itself, but they definitely come in handy when you’ve been out for lunch!
